Seeing the show live
Has anyone ever been able to see the show in person? It seems like it's really hard to get in. Anyone know what dates/times they tape, and how you can get in to see it?

I don't know about Netork, but if you do the Food NETWORK sweepstakes thing, and get the awesome seats where you can actually TASTE his food is awesome.
It's probably located in L.A., NY, or whatnot. Certainly not where I live though.
It's probably more funner if you can actually sit on the table where you can actually eat his food. Just sitting there watching it is pretty dull.

The show is taped in Chelsea Market in NY City, which is also the FN headquarters. The tickets are free, you just have to get in line. The people who get the "good seats" near the dais usually get there through a different process.
Being admitted to a taping is somewhat like being admitted to a club. They pick people who are dressed nice, have a pleasant attitude, and they also try to get a good ethnic mix for good PR. They tape several shows in a single day, so you've got more than one chance to get in. You might have to hang around all day though.
