why is this rated r?

Why is this movie rated r? are the sex scenes graphic?

reply

The scenes are not necessarily overly graphic, but there is nudity, therefore an "R" rating.

a Woman/Woman kiss scene (though maybe now with Britney and Madonna at it that won't be a big deal anymore...) and drug-use too.

reply

there are also a lot of f - bombs, which can give a movie a R rating. good example: "8 mile."

"Randolph: So you want your little booger eater on my show? Don't tell me how to run my fn business. I'm Rainbow FN Randolph!"

reply

sex scenes (not too bad), nudity, swearing (including f*ck), a lot of drug references.

If you say *beep* more than once it's rated R

PG-13s, at the moment, generally can use it up to three times.

Nope, one use of the F word is all you get in a PG-13, and it has to be a non-sexual reference. This is straight out of the MPAA handbook.

Moreso, nowadays if a character smokes a joint and likes it, that makes it R.

Cudos to Kate Beckinsale for keeping her bra on. I'm sure she had to fight for that "priveledge", and she wasn't any less sexy.

How bad of nudity are we talking here? (forgive me, but I can't handle full frontal on guys)

reply

There's no full frontal men in this movie, the closest you get to that is some of em take their shirt off, but that's it. The only nudity here is Frances McDorman flashes somebody, which is only about 2 seconds, and then another girls breast comes out of her bathing suit in a pool scene, which also only lasts for about 2. There's no nudity in the sex scenes.

As for the original question, there are several f words, and some very strong sexually explicit diologue that would never make it into a PG-13 movie. There's also a clothes-on threesome scene. And of course the brief nudity mentioned above.
