FYI: JTVTM did not open anywhere within 30 miles of NYC the weekend of Oct. 5. This is unusual, because a) they've been running the trailer all summer here, and b) there really aren't any good family movies out now - just Spy Kids 2, and I suspect everyone's seen that. (We're going to see "spirited Away", but that's only at 4 theatres.)
shareBig Idea didn't have enough $$ to flood the country with copies of the film, so they decided to concentrate the release in the midwest, then pay for additional copies with that income. It is my understanding that Jonah will be released on both coasts in November.

Unfortunately a lot of movie theaters didn't get the opportunity to show this film as they advertised. At least in our case, our local theater's distributor REFUSED to send them a copy, even though they had been advertising the movie for four months on the basis that there would not be enough interest from our area. :(

That's horrible that they couldn't release these films all across the nation. There are so many non-christian children growing up without God. They need more positive, christian movies like Veggitales to add morals to the corrupts values of the youth today.
