British version.. = great injustice

I watched both the original and the english version of this movie. The original I thought was brilliant, while the english version I felt did the movie great injustice.

Now I admit some parts of the movie and characters you have to be norwegian to fully understand. However the good parts of the movie was completely ruined by poor translation and attempts at incorporating this into british humor which it fails miserably at. Not only that, but the tone of voice in which the characters would speak and react was also the greater part of making the english version seem very flat and boring compared to the original one. It's a shame how other audiences won't be able to watch this movie to its full potential, hell I think watching a subbed version even would have been better.

subbed version sounds like a good idea.

torrent plz

lol. i always wanted to say that.

If you don't understand, then you should not be here.

I didn't see the original, but I thought that dubbed version was pretty good. English accents and jokes made it quite enjoyable.

Lol, I liked the dog barking at elephant scene. What happened there was unexpected and funny.

I read somewhere that the film was created and intended for the English-speaking world, since the lips are synchronized to every word in English.
Though, I didn't watch the so-called original version, because I thought there was only one watchable version...:)

It was due to budget concerns, really. Unfortunately, a lot of the humour, take the Sami mafia and Hudmespecs' RBK jacket, doesn't translate.

I just saw the orginal and thought it was a little bad. Haven't seen the dubbed one but I'm assuming it's better. I am norwegian and I do understand the cultural jokes but the voices were only decent, the characters were boring, and the jokes were.. well just not very funny.
But I imagine a dubbed version with good actors such as simon pegg and woody harrelson as voice actors would be a lot funnier and more interesting.
