just loved the movie

I'm a dude. I loved it, maybe even more than my wife. One of the top 10 of 2002, easily.

The Grandfather was certainly very traditionalist and sexist, but he learned an important lesson in the end. And that was the point of the movie. I don't think that this movie was "aimed" at anyone in particular, however those stucl in very sexist beliefs probably won't like it. It also helps to have an appreciation of Nature and nature-oriented spirituality.

no, the most boring movie on earth is "The New World"!!!! try sitting through that mess!

I'm a man and I think this movie is fantastic. I think it is a nice change of pace to have a movie that doesn't move as fast, to allow one to take in the scenery, the colors, the direction and the music. You fail.
