So I just finally gave this film a view. I remember it being super big back in the day and the circumstances just came to give it a try.
5 mins into it I wanted to turn it off. Then to my surprise it never lit up. It had the same vibe through and through. I cant believe this got rave reviews. Emenem cant act and looks even ugly. The movie had strange scenarios and seems terrible and fake. It never gave a transition how he really became an average mc or the dynamics of his relation with Britnay Murphy. It was all so unwatchable and stupid. Just when I thought it was going to get big the movie ended disappointingly.
Kim gave a terrible performance and looked old.
I cant believe this movie was so popular, had good reviews, and made so much money. No doubt riding on the emenem idiots!

There's always a market for Emperor's Clothing ... especially in hip hop.

It's one of those movies where you had to be there, and you probably had to be a kid too (many of Eminem's fans back then were kids). If you watch this movie as an adult now, without being an Eminem fan, you won't like it: the movie would just seem stupid

ehh im not really an Eminem fan and i recently rewatched it. I think its pretty solid and actually survives time better than a lot of movies of the early 2000s. Many of them had really ugly cinematography and corny ass use of special effects. since this movie didnt use trendy movie editing it manages to hold up ok
