The "I saw her face" scene...

I'm usually not at all impressed or freaked out by jump-scares. But I remember back in the day, when this movie first came out, that "I saw her face" scene traumatized me as a kid. I was actually afraid to look inside or open up closet doors after that. I mean, don't get me wrong...I definitely got over it. But as a kid, that scene really messed me up for some reason. I didn't find any other scenes scary besides that one.

Can anyone relate?

I'm of a older generation, but I know how you feel. My father took me to see The Exorcist. I was scared to go into my room for months, fearing she'd be in my bed waiting for me.

It still scares me as an adult, maybe because I'm putting myself in the mother's shoes, coming home and wondering where my daughter went only to find her in a closet, not only dead, but horribly disfigured with no medical explanation. That is terrifying.
