Worst Movie EVER!!

Okay, I have to admit that I was a complete idiot to have ever paid money to see this! I was told ahead of time that the lady who produced/ directed this is this 14 yr. old girl's Daddy's girlfriend....(and, thus was the ONLY reason it got made.) But, yes I was curious. O M G !!!
Where do I begin? Bad filmography, bad lighting, BAD acting, bad, bad, BAD!!
I am so mad at myself for wasting 4 bucks.
What was the budget on this???
Whatever it was...someone OVER paid!
I demand a refund!
(aaarrrgh!)

This last post got has to be one of the most ignorant things I've read on the imdb. It's everything that's wrong with all the selfish, entitled kids my age today.

"What was the budget on this???" HELLO? --They made it for FREE!! Like --as in --no money, everyone worked for no pay, and almost every thing was donated to make it happen. It's one of the points of the movie! To show that instead of sitting around on her lazy a55, this girl went out and DID something with her life, AND it shows what you can accomplish for no money. If was supposed to feel like a kid made it, because you know that if it was made with like millions of dollars, you'd just be complaining about how a 14 year old didn't REALLY make this, blah blah blah.

I think they did an amazing job considering having NO resources. You obviously know nothing about all the work that goes into movies. Maybe if you watched the behind the scenes, you'd "get it" a little bit more... but NO, you're so quick to judge.

I wonder...what have YOU done with your life? anything special? hmmmm I'm betting no. And I bet you continue to be superficial and not look deeper at things. -Like content maybe? Like--what's the movie ABOUT. What was she saying, feeling. Pretty shallow that doesn't seem to matter to you. Or if it does (but not enough to mention it) that you couldn't get past the style to see it.

Whatever.... I just hate it when people are so quick to hate something because it's not what they expected from mainstream "Hollywood". And I hate when people are so self righteous and act like they know it all.

Go back to your Harry Potter and Spiderman...

There's no such thing as a 'free' film, that's almost as naive as the original post...

clearly the poster takes his critic reviews a little too seriously. Worst movie ever? uh I haven't even seen it yet but having seen too many bad films, there's no way in hecka movie with this kind of subject matter would be anywhere near the bottom. I can't possibly take anyone seriously claiming the movie is the worst movie ever.. so Gigli was a good film eh? O_X or Glitter or... or there's always most of the Witchcraft films. :P

Actually, yes, this movie is one of the worst I've ever seen. You say "there's no way in heck a movie with this kind of subject matter would be anywhere near the bottom" but that's exactly the reason why it is. The subject matter is not depicted correctly. Teens are depressed and do drugs and commit suicide not because they get into a small fight with their friend. This movie *beep* blows, and anyone who defends it knows just as little about the subject matter as the people who made it.

reply

You're extremely right about no resources. They didn't even take the time to do any research on teen depression and suicide. This movie depicts depressed teenagers horribly. Not all of them killed themselves because they got into a minor fight with their friend. This movie should be ashamed.

Okay, maybe not the worst EVER, but I do agree ...it was bad. And yes, there is no such thing as making a movie with a 0 budget. That is laughable. Maybe you were so upset because you know someone who was in it? I don't know, but my job requires me to watch these things, and sorry but it was bad.

Ok. Yes the acting isn't the best but the message and the story are good. It wasn't written by some 14 year old Daddy's girl but by a girl questioning life around her at 11year of age. The girl was in a shelter at the time of filming. This film was meant kind of as an eye opener as KIDS was in the 90s.

I agree. I see a post titled "Worst movie EVER!" in every movie message board but it is deserved this time. Its at least the worst movie I've seen thus far. And not just the superfacial stuff but the subject. It was approached in a really immature way, you can tell someone really young thought this one up.

Ladies & Gentlemen;

The OP got some bad information before
he even went to see the film. Then things
just got worse from there. That's a shame.
He may have felt otherwise had he known the
facts in advance.

The film didn't set out to be a 'cinemagraphic
masterpiece'. It was made to send a message to
'teenagers' they could relate to and it did just
that, in New York/Hollywood. The audience(s) of
teenagers loved it, in both Theaters too.

Big Sisters of America was one of the sponsors
of it and NOT a "boyfriend/girlfriend" deal.
Much of neded items were donated and the girls
put in thousands of hours over two years to get
the job done. Very few were paid for their work
on the project, including them.

Calling it the; "worst mover ever" is totally
unfair and not at all objective thinking.

It's a shame too that some didn't see the message
it sent, or the concept it was designed to convey.

Happy trails to all...

okay, setting aside the best/worst debate -as another poster noted, pretty much every movie has a "worst movie ever" thread- except to state my bias up front that my take is that the relative merits of indy/low/no budget cinema outweigh its inherent flaws.
i'd like to speak to an issue that several people noted, namely their feeling that the film is unrealistic because -and i'm paraphrasing- teens don't do drugs/harm themselves/kill themselves over "trivial matters like a fight with a friend". As someone with child development training and experience, i can say with confidance that unfortunately, they do.
this is for three main reasons: 1) teenagers are prone to 'black and white' -or all or nothing- thinking. that is, they lack the ability to put things in perspective. A perceived slight by a peer, and unjust restriction or punishment by a parent, a poor grade, et cetera all feel like literally the end of the world. 2) teenagers have difficultly fully understanding consequences. they cannot understand that addictions, unwanted pregnancy, death are things that can happen to them if they engage in risky behaviour or make poor choices. and 3) teenagers are impulsive. awash with teeming hormones, the react with volitility and shortsight. they seek long term solutions -i.e. dramatic-to short term problems. again, they lack perspective.
i don't know if that means anything to anyone. i just wanted to speak to it.

Dear M-56;

Thank you very much for; "telling
it like it is", Sir.

I can't speak for Cindy but; I'm
sure that's why she didn't alter
the Script, allowing the (age 14)
perspective of the writer, to stay
in the film throughout.

IMO: It was the 'feeling' of all
involved that this too, would help
"sell this" to the teenage audience.

Teenagers don't always trust adults.

Thank's again & Happy New Year to all.
