Hypocritical Quaid remark

When "Brokeback Mountain" was getting all the accolades that this movie didn't get, on an award show, he was a presenter on stage announcing an award. His first comment was 'this is a chick flick', trying to degrade the movie's popularity. He obviously didn't mind appearing in another chick flick, and as a gay man, no less, in this movie.
