does anyone know where i can find this on DVD (or actually even VHS) japanese with ENGLISH subtitles???

i mean, i know its been subtitled... i saw it on AZNTV - im japanese and i dont really need to watch a subtitled version but i like it so much i want to show it to my friends!

I bought a region 0 english subtitled version off ebay and it looked like a real release (although it could have just been a pro-printed bootleg or cheap import). Just search for "sabu drive" and you'll find something.
