Dario Argento documentary that didn't mention Mario Bava...


Very good document but what about Mario Bava, the maestro of macabre and giallo? The document didn't mention him at all. And that's a real shame because Argento (and many other directors) have learned a lot from his films. I know that Mario Bava is dead but they should at least interview his son Lamberto Bava.
Too bad, that's why only 7/10.

They did talk about him once, in the part about Giallo's.

Definitely a good documentary, yes.

I can recommend the new blu ray-package of INFERNO which includes this doc with stunning pic quality. Also, there are more extras featured on the disc, several of which mentions Mario Bava quite a bit actually!

I remember this documentary was part of a series about the masters of horror, Mario Bava had his own documentary (and some of the interviewed were the same).
Maybe the producers wanted to concentrated in Argento...
