Instead of a world of water, they had a shortage of fluids and the orphan girl "prophet" is a tad older - but come on. It's embarrasing how similar these two movies are.
The Jurrasic Park-scene was quite pathetic as well.

I wouldn't quite call it a copy of water world...and jurasic park isn't to only film where someone is chased by a large monster...
The film wasn't great but it certainly wasn't great cause of either of those reasons...

If it were a Waterworld ripoff than it would have been a *really* bad film. JurassicPark-like scenes were present in a multitude of films even before Spielberg was born... It is increasingly hard to be entirely original nowadays, but even so, a village struck in a giant tree was an interesting concept. Sadly, it could have been better used.
shareLOL. This may be the saddest thing I've ever seen on IMDB. I thought the original post was going to be a joke, poking fun at people who cry ripoff everytime they notice a superficial similarity. Oh well, still good for a laugh.
