The brothers behaviour in the gallery

I don't know how things are done in the UK but wouldn't the two brothers have been thrown out from the court room during the very first day for all the yelling and shouting abuse at the defendant? I know it's common in the parliament for things to get heated but I can't believe that it would be allowed in a court of law. Especially not so many times! Am I wrong?

I am not sure either but I wouldve thought so too...disgusting wasn't it?

I haven't watched this show yet but will. In the US they would be thrown out by baliffs. The judge would also warn them (and everyone else) that if there is any further outbursts they will find themselves sitting in a jail cell for contempt of court. Sometimes they are released after a few hours. But if they persist they may find themselves in there for days at the judge's discretion.

If there is a lot of emotion during a trial (usually for a violent crime) the judge might warn the people in the courtroom there is to be no demonstrations of shouting etc after the verdict is read out loud.

I don't know everything. Neither do you.

I don't think you're wrong, no. I was most surprised that neither the judge nor the bailiff made any comment about it. The most we got was the judge giving them a dirty look, when in real life I would have thought they'd be warned, and then ejected.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
