False Advertising

I thought this movie was better than most but I think the trailer and the DVD cover are falsely suggesting more nudity and romance than actually exists; this movie is a pure drama, very conventional and that it got an "R" rating has a great deal more to do with the homophobia of the MPAA and perhaps a bit of the language than it does anything else.

It's the language.. You can only say the f-word so many times without it getting an R. If they wanted to cut the language they probably could've got PG-13, but I doubt anyone cared that much. It's an indie film.. I don't think they're trying to mass market it.
