Who does the first murder with liquid nitrogen?

So the instructor is watching everything and never left. These agents spend the night and then go to the room where the dead body is hanging. In between all of this how does Lucas get all the time to setup the trap. Also, he has to kill the instructor first to setup the trap. Does he kill the instructor first before setting the trap. Also, how does he find out that the instructor is still around and watching. He doesn't have much time overnight to do all this I think.

He's an excellent profile. He assumes the instructor will want to be close by and wouldn't leave the island because of his ego. The fact he liked to be closeby and watch the simulations was his weak spot.

And yeah there were a lot of coincidences

It's a movie, not real. He doesn't have time to set all the traps.
Why do they need to find the next trap and run into it ? instead they can sit together and guard.
