Match #1

8 Man Tag Team Match

The Right To Censor Vs The Dudley Boyz And The Acolytes

Generic 8 man tag to open the ppv. D-Von gets beat up for awhile then Bubba hottags and a brawl breaks out. Steven Richards gets into the ring for the first time and stevie kicks Bubba so Val can pin him at 5:53. Acolytes hold RTC at bay so the Dudleyz can put Steven through a table. Eh, 1 1/2 star.

Match #2

Strap Match

Tazz Vs Jerry The King Lawler

Tazz jumpstarts and they go outside where he jaws at JR giving Lawler a chance to fight back and then back inside. Lawler hits three consecutive (weak) piledrivers and Tazz pops up after the first two but the third makes him woozy and he collapses. Lawler drags him around to touch the corners and the ref goes down. Only good moment, Raven shows up and evenflows Lawler so Tazz can pin him at 4:53. Raven's suprise debute bumps it up to 1 1/2 star.

Austin arrives and beats up Kevin Kelly, then goes to search for who ran him down at last years Survivor Series. Michael Cole fills in for Lawler.

Match #3

Hardcore Invitational Championship Match

Steve Blackman Vs European Champion Al Snow Vs Crash Vs Test w Trish Stratus Vs Saturn w Terri Vs Funaki

Snow is representing Italy, and brings out a pizza, a pictur of Tony Danza and a dead fish wrapped in a newspaper. 10 minute time limit. Pin someone, and hold the belt to the time expires. Everybody going after Blackman and using the typical props on him. Best moment, Snow goes for head and Terri and Trish both end up getting konked and knocked off the apron. Crash goofs up a rana on Snow. Not the town to screw up in. Battle outside and Saturn hits a nice moonsault onto a couple of guys on the floor. Saturn and Funaki fight into the back while Crash gets the first pin on Blackman to win. Crash runs for the dressing room and a returning Saturn blasts him with a trashcan lid and wins. Blackman gets his sticks and Saturn grabs a kendo stick and they battle like jedi's and Blackman wins that contest easily. Blackman gets the pin with 1 minute left. Everyone gangs up on him in the aisle and beat him down but time expires. Blackman leaves with the belt. 2 1/2 stars.

Backstage, Angle and Austin meet for the first time. Angle gives him a tiny plastic medal and Austin beats him up. Angle would deny it for the rest of the night.

Match #4

Singles Match

Chris Jericho Vs X-Pac

X-Pac tries the broncobuster early and runs into a heel kick on the trip over. X-Pac blocks the springboard dropkick and launches Jericho into the railing, then follows with a vault over the top. Brawl outside and back in, and a heel kick gets two for X-Pac. Backdrop suplex gets 2, and he hits the broncobuster. Jericho is up and gets a powerbomb out of the corner. Flying forearm gets 2. Jericho hits his own broncobuster, and X-Pac grabs his nunchuks. Wild swing misses and Jericho rolls him up for 2. X-Pac goes low and gets the X-Factor for 2 1/2. Jericho powerbombs him and goes into the Liontamer, called so by JR, but it's a better name anyway. X-Pac makes the ropes. Spinkick gets two. Jericho bulldog, but the Lionsault hits knees and X-Pac goes upstairs. Jericho catches him coming down, and the walls of jericho end it at 8:38. Felt kinda short. Would of liked a longer match. 2 1/2 stars. Pac beats up Jericho postmatch with the nunchuks.

Match #5

Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match

Edge And Christian Vs The Hardy Boyz

I never liked this concept. The idea here is pin one of the opponents or both team members escape the cage. It works against itself because whichever guy escapes first, in theory leaves his partner to get killed and pinned, also your not allowed to climb back in to help, and submissions count. Jeff gets knocked off the cage early and out early on and coaches from the floor. He attempts to get back in but the heels kick him away. Matt takes on both for a while and tries to escape, but gets superplexed back down. E+C continue working Matt over. Jeff keeps climbing back in and they keep knocking him off. Jeff acts like a dick and nails the ref and takes the key to the doorlock and gets the door slammed in his face. The champs try the conchairtoe, but Matt ducks and takes both down. Christian climbs out and gets decked by a flying ladder on the way down, leaving Edge & Matt inside the cage. Michael Cole made a stupid comment earlier in the match then contradicts himself a few minutes later. Where's Lawler? Edge bulldogs Matt off the top. Jeff gets back to the top of the cage by way of ladder and hits whisper in the wind off the top and barely makes contact. He mostly just splats on the mat. Lita arrives and gives Christian a lowblow while he is climbing the outside ladder ranas Christian off the ladder in my favorite spot of the match. In the ring, Edge nails Jeff with a chair and climbs the cage, but the Hardyz follow him up with some chairs, double chairshot sends him down to the mat and the Hardyz both climb out at 13:34 to win the titles. 3 stars.

Match #6

Intercontinental Championship Match

Eddie Guerrero w Chyna Vs Rikishi

Brawl to start. Eddie bails, but Chyna tosses him back in so he can be a man. This storyline should be wrapping up any day now. Chyna saves Eddie from stinkface. Rikishi goes out to argue with Chyna and Eddie body presses from the top rope to the floor. Back in, the frog splash misses. Rikishi hits a weak samoan neckbreaker then a samoan drop. Banzai drop hits and Chyna stops the ref and begs him not to count. That's not a dq? Rikishi gets into a scuffle and has had enough. Superkick and banzai drop gets him disqualified at 6:00 apparently. Almost a total shmoz with no clear ending. Like WCW. 1 star.

Match #7

No Disqualification Match

HHH w Stephanie McMahon Helmsley Vs Kurt Angle

Special Referee: Mick Foley

Angle sings happy birthday to Steph. HHH’s ribs are heavily taped from a sledgehammer attack on Smackdown by Angle. Angle works goes after them right away. Brawl on the floor, and back in. Angle suplexes him hurting the ribs then hits a german suplex for 2 and shoves Foley, who shoves back. Angle belly to back suplex gets two. Back outside. HHH attempts another pedigree like at Summerlsam on the announcers table. Best spot, Angle conters and does a release overhead suplex on HHH from JR/Kings table and puts HHH through the Spanish table and he bleeds from the mouth. Back in, Angle goes to the ribs and works them. Fight up top and Angle with a belly to belly superplex gets two. Angle hooks an abdominal stretch, that doesn't work so he goes up top and misses his BIG moonsault. HHH gets a half pedigree and calls in Steph to make a choice. She reluctantly slaps Angle and HHH pedigrees him for the pin at 17:22. HHH gives her a weird kiss and they leave. Was expecting more. But the table spot was nifty. 3 stars.

Shane McMahon comes out and kills 10 minutes by showing to Austin who ran him over a year ago. He plays some old ass footage of Steve Blackman running down Ken Shamrock from a year ago, and I find it weird that they would show old footage of that of an ex employee and talk as if he was still with the company even though he left over a year ago. Blackman comes out to defend himself and want's a piece of Shane but winds up getting stunned. Shane kisses Austin's ass then gets stunned 3 times into oblivion. What a waste of time that was.

Match #8

World Heavyweight Championship Fatal Four Way Match

The Rock Vs The Undertaker Vs Kane Vs Chris Benoit

Brawl to start. Rock and Benoit fight into the crowd. Kane hits a flying clothesline on Taker for 2. Taker hits a clothesline for two. Rock comes in, and a samoan drop on Kane gets 2. Rock and Kane slug it out, Taker helps a double team on his brother. Taker tries the ropewalk on Rock but he counters and knocks him off. The ref gets wiped out and Taker hits Rock with a chair and Benoit blasts Taker then pins Rock for the title to no reaction, because here comes Foley to restart the match in a jerkoff Dusty finish teaser. Foley says Takers feet were under the ropes. Benoit chops Rock and rolling germans get 2. Diving headbutt gets 2, but Rock reverses to a crossface on him. Undertaker breaks it up. Kane chokeslams him for 1. Rock gets Kane with the spinebuster coming off the ropes, and Benoit almost takes Rock head off when he runs the ropes for the peoples elbow. Taker gives Rock the last ride but Kane saves at 2. Taker and Kane fight outside, and Benoit blasts both with a chair and slaps the crossface on the Rock. Taker manages the save after quiet awhile, he chokeslams Benoit and Kane pulls him out at the 2 count. Rock and Benoit fight to their feet and it's Rock who gets the rockbottom first and the pin at 15:59 to retain. Everybody mustve known that the tease finish with Benoit meant he wouldn't have the belt tonight. 3 stars.

Overall Opinion: It was a great run of ppvs for the WWF in 2000. King Of The Ring was weak, but they were back on track for Fully Loaded and Summerslam. This one is mediocre. Nothing memorable happened here. Mostly a plot filler in the scheme of things, nothing solved.

Final Score: This show gets an even 5.2 from me.
