Hollow Victory?!

I did so much work, only for Kerrigan to sit in her lair thinking it's a hollow victory?! She's secured her power, her enemies are in ruin, and the only real threat are the Zerg-Protoss hybrids that have been talked about since the first StarCraft with the Overmind's plans for a Protoss Swarm. Besides, like I said with StarCraft, this game wasn't even really fun. Ammusingly challenging at times, yes, but not fun. Just sorta hard and complicated. I don't see how it could get harder within reasonable human parameters. Also, I've always liked the Zerg. Of course, we all know how the StarCraft storyline has to end. Somehow, someday, Humanity will destroy its enemies instead of dying a violent, bloody death. It seems like it just has to be done, and I'd be surprised if it ended with some other race comming to power. I hoped Brood War would be the end of it.

it was a hollow victory because she betrayed all of her allies. she is still somewhat human so she still has feelings ( like in the first starcraft when she allowed jim to run away in"agent of the swarm) and also because as you said the protoss/zerg hybrids that duran planted on planets, she probably read zeratuls mind while on the mission dark origins

hmm. well I really didn't think Duran PLANTED those things on the planets. It seemed in the bonus mission like he was more of an omnicent observer and was showing what was happening to Zeratul. Hmm, I don't remember her allowing Jim to run away, but I havn't played Starcraft in months.
