What did you all think of this?

I just ordered this and am looking forward to watching it. I just wondered what you all thought of this?

I like it. Leonard Nimoy seems like one of the most genuine people in Hollywood.

I thought it was interesting, although I already knew many of the anecdotes they told since I've read their autobiographies. Still I enjoyed it, being a fanboy and all.

I´ve read Shatner´s Star Trek memories and Star Trek movie memories and the parts I enjoyed most was his banter with Nimoy. I´d love to see this movie. Please, do post a review after you see it.

I loved it! I could have sat and listened to them for hours. I haven't read any of their books, so it was all new to me. Think I'll have to hunt down their autobiographies.

If you do check out their autobiographies, remember that Nimoy wrote at least two; 'I Am Not Spock', which probably was when he was younger and trying to break free from that image, and the more recent 'I Am Spock'. I read I AM Spock, which is really good. Nimoy gives a real good glimpse into the making of Trek and tells some great stories of the behind-the-scenes stuff.

I read Shatner's book too, 'Get A Life'. It's not what it sounds like, the title is not intended to spit at trekkies, it's a take on his infamous get a life skit on Saturday Night Live. He has a writing style that is less eloquent and thought-out as Nimoy's, but is more like a funny guy at a bar or something, telling stories. It's not a bad thing though, very relatable, and easy to pick up and put down infrequently.

If you want to read an autobiography about someone who doesn't hold back on their anger, read George Takei's book. Holy cow, he really hates Shatner, and blames him for the fact that Sulu didn't get promoted to Captain until Undiscovered Country. The guy is still angry with Shatner, and it shows in his book.

WHen the credits began to role, there is a shot of Shatner and Nimoy walking about in Nimoy's office. Shatner makes a joke about something and laughs. Nimoy suddenly puts his arm around Shatner looks him in the face and says:"Bill, you're my best friend."

If you're a trekkie, trekker, whatever, I challenge you not to get a bit teary eyed in that scene.

Loved the two of them sitting there talking about life, Trek and the future. It's more poignant that Mr. Nimoy is now gone and it hammers home the point that they won't be here forever, but their lives and legacy will live on.
