You think this should be remade for hollywood? I think it should, its great story, great script. But only if it stays true to the original.

reply

this borrowed heavily from goodfellas and numerous other hollywood gangster movies. i liked this movie, but organized crime in india isn't as cool as the others.

scenes have been copied- RVG always does that. For instance the Chase scene in Kenya has been directly lifted from the movie named The Assignment.

reply

Yes...I thought so, did you notice that the kissing scene was directly lifted from the movie Requiem for a Dream? Oh and there was that other scene where they were talking to each other...I forget who it was...but I swear I saw that in this hollywood movie 10 years ago...DAMN, can't remember the name of the movie, but I'm telling you, it was a scene for scene copy, even down to the fact that actual words came out of their mouths, isn't that just SOOOO wrong? How dare they copy hollywood?!?!

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous

reply

Why do morons like you always try to justify copying? If an entire chase scene has been 'lifted', 'coped', or 'paid homage to', then deal with it. Accept it, don't try to justfiy and defend it.

This was a good movie, no doubt, and some of the best directors in the world pay homage to each other. Look at Tarantino...

Just your opening line shows your level of maturity...you're one of those, 'oh, I'll say something "CUTTING" like..oh, you're a moron'
When you've grown up a little, come back and I'll maybe dignify your juvenile ramblings with an answer...okay cookie?

No, this movie is based on a real-life Mumbai underworld organization called the D-Company, which was led by the notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim and was responsible for the 1993 Bombay bombings.

Indian gangster movies like Company and Satya are darker and grittier than Hollywood gangster movies, due to the fact that they take place in the slums of Mumbai rather than some rich American city. The Mumbai slums gives Indian gangster movies a more gritty edge over their Hollywood counterparts.

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM???!!!!!"
