All right, this show had already been on for a couple of years when I was born, but for some reason I remember this hot girl in go go boots and minidresses. As much as I can remember, this was the first time I thought that some girl was pretty. I was all of one year old when it went off the air so I'm assuming that I saw it second run with Nanny and the Professor and Please Don't Eat the Daisies.

Funny thing is, mini skirts and go-go boots were WAY out of style by 1972. Hot pants and higher up the thing black boots were in but those white go-go numbers were more 1966 to 1968. NOBODY wore those white things except hookers and old bags who didn't know they went out 5 years before!

Mini skirts were in style until about 1974,then the hemlines came back down.Go go boots may have gone out of style,but boots were still popular at the time.I suspect a lot of teenage boys & older watched this to look at Emmy Jo,she was a beauty.Too bad she couldn't sing.

Emily Peden looked absolutely smashing in those chunky-heeled go go boots and mini dresses & skirts. I always tuned in hoping she'd wear one of the super-short ones. WOW, what a way to get the fathers to watch with their kids! ;)
BTW, the boots are dated for '72; however, I think they were chosen for their practicality in dancing around, and to balance-out the mini-dresses.
I agree about the clothes. They looked great but I was suprised the show started in 1972. She looks far more like, at the very latest, 1970. Even hot pants were not as hot in 1972... still she looks fab!!!!
