Review

Ana has just graduated highschool and finds herself torn between doing what she wants to do (go to college) or do what her mom wants her to do (work in a sewing factory). She also confronts her feelings on being overweight.

I really liked the film. I felt like I could identify with Ana. Her mixed feelings on wanting to lose weight but at the same time wanting to love and accept herself just the way she is, is something most overweight women struggle with. The actress who played Ana brought the character to life. This film will stay with me for a long time.

i know what you mean about RWHC sticking with you for a long time. i think this is one of those films that absolutely HAS to be made, and then seen. five minutes into it, i found myself not watching a movie but being in the company of a friend and her family. i thought everything about this movie was natural and seemed to just flow. at the end when the credits rolled i sat in my soft cushy seat pouting and thinking...i dont want it to be over. it was so good and so real. there is loads i could say about this film, but doubt i have the time to type it or anyone else the time to read it! =)
