An important scene nobody seems to mention!

What about the scene where Jijii is trying to get Ichi to kill the last of the guys and Ichi tells Jijii that he has an erection.

Jijii tells Ichi to take the pills so he will calm down and Ichi freaks out, throws the pills on the ground, yells "no", and storms out of the room.

Ichi goes out of the room to the left and as soon as his body disappears, Jijii comes in from the right... Jijii was supposed to have been there the whole time.

Just thought Id mention it, cuz nobody else has and it seems to be important in that it is so strange.

(I mentioned it in a couple other posts)

What do you all think?

True, it's an strange little scene! They way I see it, it's mainly for the fun of it. Miike messes with our heads. We think Jijii is in the room, we hear him speak, but actually doesn't see him. Miike loves to mess with his audiences mind, and he does it in Ichi as well.
If I should force myself to let it make a little bit of sence concerning the plot, I'd say that it characterizes the role of Jijii - He's in control of Ichi, and he "pulls the strings" as he tells Kakihara over the phone. You'll never be able to figure out what Jijii's going to do, and he'll probably end up surprising you... like showing up in the room you already thought he was in.

Prepare to evacuate soul.

I interpreted this scene as showing that Ichi is inexorably moving beyond Jijii's control, therefore Jijii must hasten to complete his revenge on the Anjo Gang.
