What's with the British sounding dub?

Was the dub recorded in the UK?

"Killer Klowns from Outer Space? Holy S***"

The dubbing is worse than Dick Van Dykes cockney accent. Great film though.

The dub was actually kind of charmingly weird and memorable because of the accents. One thing I thought was strange was with the subtitles on my uncut dvd one of the women has very few parts subbed.
