Kakihara's mouth

Think its possible to actually make it like that somehow? It'd be worth it if you could.

reply

Obviously you can. Didn't you see the movie? His mouth is exactly as you see it in the movie. What kind of a question is this? A joke?

reply

No it isn't... moron lol. You could have just looked up the actor but instead you treated the person asking the question as an idiot when in actuality, you were the idiot. But to respond to the question, yes, it is possible but would require the individual to have his mouth kept separated for the first several months so that the skin does fuse.

Can't tell if Poetry is joking or... just really stupid. lol

Do the Chelsea smile and then cautorise the wound before it can heal (cauterise the top bit then the bottom bit seperately I mean, not back together, obviously). Then just pierce back together. Wouldn't be too hard I don't think...

Yep, you could do it but you'll have to have someone hold your sign.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

You'd have to slice the skin the cheek back, with a sterile scalpel. Then some thing would have to put between the skin to stop it from healing up. However in Kakihara's case I think that because he exhales through the wounds while smoking that if one was a heavy smoker they could forgo keeping the skin seperate, as exhaling that way would keep it from healing.

It's a cool look but I don't think i'd be one to mutilate myself to get it.

You're a troll.

Yeah that's pretty messed up, I couldn't imagine it, unless I was a zombie or a jiang shi or something!

What I wonder is whether you'd be able to speak, after cutting through the muscles in your cheeks..

reply

I see how it could be possible to create yes, as others have said here. But what about maintaining it, what I mean is wouldn’t the bottom part of the jaw be so heavy that the sites of the piercings would become very stretched? So much so that it would eventually, not too far afterwards, tear?!

I also think there would be excess saliva coming out from the wounds, saliva in the back of the mouth would still form, and fall out the sides.

This would cause the whole thing to be very messy and would probably have to be repaired by the “wearer”.

I don’t think anyone could put up with this, could they

Your cheeks don't hold your jaw closed, or prevent it from opening too far. It's the muscles of your temporomandibular joint (your jaw joint). So if you cut your cheeks and then pierced them back together, maybe it would be uncomfortable to open your mouth all the way. In which case...just don't open your mouth all the way.

reply

No, it's impossible as it is not your cheeks that prevents your mouth from opening that much. It's your jaw. If you had to do this, you'd had to destroy the jaw muscle, leaving your mouth unfunctional.

Just remember that you would never drink coffee again, or soup, or a coke, without it dripping out the sides. Also, just eating would have bits of chewed food poking out.

Not a great look.

I almost did this and even talked about this "body modification" in one of more extreme tattoo shop's which does scarring and all those things. Back then i did not have money go trough with it though, since it was pretty expensive. But it would have been a nice bodmod :]

reply

You would have SERIOUS problems eating and drinking. You wouldn't be able to keep the food or drink in your mouth, you'd pretty much have to throw your head back and chug it down like a gannet.

I'd even go as far as to say that you'd have trouble getting enough calories to survive.
