First trancer death / the fall out of the building

I'll tell you what, the first trancer death sequence in the film when it commits suicide from jumping out of the tall building has to be noe of the funniest death scenes ever put to celluloid. I laughed my ass off. Overall it was an extremely bad sequel, but that death scene make sthis film at least a one time watch.

Well I thought the movie was down right horrible. The first Trancers movie was OK, and then quickly sucked more and more with each passing sequel. I will agree with you though, that scene made it all worth it.

Oh yeah. Laugh-out-loud awful. And if you read interviews with Jay Wolfel, he really did want to do the best he could, but the poor budget (Wolfel says the effects and sound mix were all temps and were never inteneded to be final), non-union production (meaning they couldn't use Maggie Grace, who was originally cast as Jo, let alone Thomerson, whom they couldn't afford anyway) and Band's half-arsed cutting of the film doomed it to hell.

This said, the performances are all terrible. No amount of recutting could fix that.

The bad special effects made the death unintentionally funny. Full Moon shouldn't use special effects just because they can.

It was somewhat amusing. But, you know, it was kinda of fun viewing after that. That awful effect sequence told me that this was going to be a really, really low budget feature and that I should not expect any kind of real production design look of any high calibre from that point onward. Since my expectations were lowered after that, I found myself enjoying the feature for what it was and not what I had expected it to be.
