Watch the deleted scenes...

I have one of those guilty pleasure places in my heart for this movies for a few of reasons: I love Brent Spiner and enjoy any old crap he does. It has a great visual style, the production design is great. I used to love Dana Carvey as a kid and, well, frankly... Jennifer Esposito

But what I find interesting is watching the deleted scenes on the DVD. There is almost an entire second movie of deleted stuff and, if you look at it, the tone of the removed stuff is much darker and more adult orientated and quite a bit funnier too. I can't help feeling that the creative team behind this film had planned something a bit more subversive and less 'kiddie', leading me to think this must have been a major studio cut that got released. So there is a part of me that would love to have seen another version of the film, just to see what it could have been - not that I think it would have been comedy gold but perhaps just a bit better.

Should point out, I only have this on DVD because I got it for a quid! It was actually in the poundshop about 5 years ago! It had barely been out and it found its way into Poundland! Oh well, hope no one ever paid full whack for it

Huh? The DVD only has about 5-7 minutes of deleted scenes. Barely anything at all.

And certainly not a "second movie" worth.
