A movie at this level never would have a sequel made unless it made a decent profit. The amazing thing is that even though it has very low production costs compared to a normal movie, it's still expensive to produce. So even though I have yet to read even one decent review for Killjoy, alot of people must have rented it for them to make a sequel. I'm in no way implying that these movies have any redeeming value, only that it's amazing how many people will continue to rent crap like this.

well killjoy 1 sucked, but i loved killjoy 2, and there needs to be a killjoy 3 and this time not being in the hood.

but wow how could you like killjoy 2 thats sad!!!

killjoy is a classic because its the worst movie ever made

oh and yea it didn't make any profit

it cost 150k to make killjoy, dont ask how

while its sequel only cost 30k thats amazing they got a loan or something, cuz usually if you made a profit, the sequel is way more expensive,cuz you want to put the crap you weren't able to put in the first one

You obviously don't study sequels not made in the last 8 years or so.

They'd use the diminishing returns rule, a film makes so much money but only so many people who saw the first one will see the second so they give it a lower budget and so on and so on until you get to Conquest of the Planet of the Apes and you've got barely enough money for a handful of apes in the desert.

With this, well the original KillJoy cost a bit, somehow, but Killjoy 2 cost $30,000 (you say) because it's done under the guiding hand of Charles Band and co who know how to churn out crap that's just about marketable for as little money as possible and make a profit.

There was a time when his movies looked reasonable but I guess too many financial problems take their toll and now looks about the most risky time ever to be making movies, unless you're one of the big 6.

This made a profit too. According to Trent Haaga in How To Make Your Own Damn Movie, this movie cost 30k to make and made a return of 750k.
