7.4 is way too low for this masterpiece of a film.

And I don't understand how this film didn't beat the first film at the box office and how didn't win several Oscar rewards because it was easily the best film of 2002 and the best film of the Harry Potter series.

For me, Chamber of Secrets is the only excellent from book-to-big screen adaption in the series and it's the only film I go as far as to say I prefer over the actual book. Everything about this film got Harry Potter film right, whether it be the acting, the action, the sets, the visuals, the special effects, the cast, the music, etc. Dobby was also a far better character and far more groundbreaking CGI creation than Gollum. It also never bothered me that Columbus decided to completely cutout the Deathday Party from the book because I never cared for that part of the book and thought it added nothing to main story and was mainly a drag to get through in the book.

Don't get me wrong, Prisoner of Azkaban was a great film as well, but it was a horrible adaption of the book and it started the trend where the films would just completely cutout important stuff in the books just so the filmakers could add pointless stuff that wasn't even the books.

I think prisoner of Azkaban was the best. But I loved this one as well. All the films should be near an 8 or higher.

It's underrated and I like it very much, but masterpiece is a little too much.

I wish this movie had gotten the love and praise that Prisoner of Azkaban has.
