which character do you hate the most...
Harry Potter is one of the best young adult books series ever made. Hands down the series is terrific. The movies, while not as good and frankly cut out way to much, were still really good. But nothing is perfect. And its always more fun to dump on something than say nice things about it. So in that spirit, which character did you hate the most.
One of the strengths of the series was how many well developed, well rounded characters
their were. From Harry to Bellatrix, from Luna to Mundungus Fletcher, it was the amount of different and interesting charters that made the Harry Potter Universe so fun and diverse. But with so many characters spread out across 7 books and 8 eight movies, you can't love em all.
As for me i always hated Ginny Weasley. She was a bitch. She always seemed very full of herself. Now one of the strengths of the Potter series, compared to something like Lord of the Rings (which was always stupid) is that it actually had well developed female characters and not just like one token chick. Characters like Hermione, Luna, Bellatrix, Tonks, Mcgonagall, Cho, Narcissa and so on. Hell, one of the most bad ass moments in the series comes from Molly Weasley (if your familiar with the books/or movies you should know what I'm talking about). And really, how often do middle aged house wife's get to be bad ass. So yeah the Harry Potter universe has a lot of good female characters. But Ginny, just a bitch. Just a bitchy unpleasant tough chick stereotype.
Didn't have much of a character other than that. Plus she was kind of a skank. i think she dated every guy in the school but her brothers. And she was just kind of nasty.
In Half Blood Prince, i remember in one scene Ron was trying to get a kiss good bye form Fleur Delacour, she was giving them out, and Ginny tripped him on his way to her. And he fell flat on his face. Now a jokes a joke, but i got to say, if i had a chance to kiss a supernaturally hot french girl and my sister tripped me. I would have gone crazy. And threw out the books, there was a lot of stuff like. Which wouldn't be so bad if she had a little more character. But no, she's just kind of full of herself, and kind of a bitch. And as for the movies, they didn't make her any better. The actress they got to play her was pretty flat. Pretty bland. Also, in neither the book nor the movies, did her and Harry have any real chemistry. They should not have ended up together. I think even J K Rowling eventually realized that she screwed up on who ended up with who (Ron and Hermione, wasn't crazy about that either).
Anyway i think i have pretty definitively proven that Ginny sucks, but what about you?
