Did anyone else hate this or what?

I usually love romantic comedies, so I went to go see A Guy Thing last week. I also think Jason Lee is tremendously talented based on Chasing Amy, and Julia Stiles and Selma Blair are pretty good too. This movie was beyond awful. I went in expecting a nice romantic comedy, and got one of the most poorly written comedies I've ever seen (if you can call it a comedy)...I'm not sure if the intention, either, was for Selma Blair's Karen to be the only character I actually liked. Please, don't waste valuable money on this. You're probably better off seeing Just Married, which was no masterpiece, but was a nice, decent time, as well as a classic compared to this disaster. It's no wonder the release of this movie was delayed from September to January.

I didn't even have to see this movie to recognize it as a stinker -- and I think the movie-going public caught wise to it and are now staying away in droves after its inexplicably strong opening weekend. Must mean that the general word-of-mouth about this film was about as good as yours...lol.

I never walk out of films, im the type who has to see the end. I just couldn't make it, it was like a desert without water. I just walked until I found water.

you know what? about half way into the movie my wife, who really wanted to see this so-called movie said, "this really sux." but we both laughed a lot and we didn't walk our, but it was not a very good movie and yet somehow there were quite a few funny scenes and most of the actors were fun to watch. so that brings up another question. what is a good movie? i've seen movies that i can tell are artistic masterpieces, but were not enjoyable and simple minded low budget movies that i enjoyed...so, no i didn't hate this, but can understand anyone who did.

i don't understand why people keep classifying this movie as a romantic comedy. its really not. I mean, the sterotype says that guys hate romantic comedies, right? and this is "a guy thing"; Hence, NOT a romantic comedy. I think thats why alot of people disliked it.

I also think Jason Lee is tremendously talented based on Chasing Amy,

Chasing Amy had one of the most retarded plots of any movie ever made.
You actually liked Chasing Amy?

Too much, too soon, too long, too strong, too many,
to fix.

I didn't hate it. Don't get me wrong, the movie stinks. It's just not good. But hate? Worst? No. I liked the movie because I liked all the good actors. And this movie's got good actors in spades. And I love Julia Stiles, so I can't pass up on the stinker of a movie.

Fortunately, there was no wasted no money on this. It was on cable. On the other hand, I would have been mightily pissed if I had spent twelve bucks on this piece of sh!t, though.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I don't know, I thought it was a pretty damn funny comedy. But I guess I'm in the minority here.
