Brilliant short

A mixed media film regarding the murderous aggression within humankind. The film is 10 minutes long and one of 4 extras on the dvd/blu-ray of La Planete Sauvage. It combines black and white film with animations and photographs. Fantastic narration, here are some of the best lines:

Somewhere in a far off galaxy, there is a planet like any other. On this land live creatures endowed with four limbs, the lower two for advancing and retreating and the upper two for killing. Mankind. His main resource is death. He lives and dies by it.

To footage of men fishing, shooting birds and matadors spearing bulls: What does a man do when he is not killing his fellow man? He kills that which resembles him.

To photographs of public executions, somewhat ironic: But man is so suited to murder that justice has to intervene.
