Excellent review, Brian_Camp. Italian and Japanese cinema/animation are indeed closely linked; it's great to know that others know enough to draw up comparisons. =D I too have seen the VHS edition of Dallos you reviewed [ Which left me very hungry for more ], and I hope more information about this classic surfaces eventually for all us devotees of the old school...
