His Daughter?

At the end after Sarah has died, why does Nick go to her house? Is it because the letter reveals that her little girl is in fact his daughter. It works out about right because of her age and the time that they slept together. Sorry if this is a really dumb question but I started to loose interest towards the end of the movie.

Yes. The little girl is his daughter. Sarah says so to Nick when she finds him in Chechnya. If it's in the letters, I don't know for sure. I also started to loose interest towards the end. But I know for sure about Sarah saying Anna is his daughter.

I suppose that is why he goes to her house, but probably also, maybe to tell that Sarah is dead. Hard to tell. The movie flitters all over the place, and a sense how much time has elapsed is diffucult, even the film-makers have been thoughtful enough to atleast gives us different years as referenca. Am not sure they did it at the end. Because, like I said. With a movie this dull, it's hard to pay close attention.

Yes, in the commentary the director said that Sarah is Nick's daughter.
