The last two Beethoven movies suck! But I must admit, this movie is slightly bearable than the third, but not close to being better than the first two.

This movie is on tv right now, it totally sucks. No one in it can act. They should have stopped after the second movie.

It is a very mediocre sequel with a poor script and a predictable rehash of Prince and the Pauper which has been much better many times before. However, I still like Beethoven, I liked the house, and the acting while nothing special was at least acceptable.

I would respectfully disagree with you on that. I thought the 4th film was a hundred times worse and more unbearable than Beethoven's 3rd. This movie copies a popular film we all know where two dogs get switched, the characters are extremely annoying, there are major plot holes where Beethoven is a dog with no manners (unlike in the 1st and 2nd film) and there are no redeeming factors whatsoever.

I would give Beethoven's 4th a 1/10, and would even go as far as calling it one of the worst movies ever made. The 5th was bad but more bearable, and the following rebooted series is more tolerable.

Being direct-to-DVD is why it's crap.

This is by far my least favorite Beethoven movie of all six. Its ridiculous and contains a hideous plot. Actors, acting and the comedy were just a reject.

Mixing Beethoven in with that other St. Bernard was just retarded, and repetitive to say the least. Couldn't stand both families, the dog obedience school or any of that crap.

I'm actually one of the few people who enjoyed Beethoven's 3rd, despite the fact that the first two were way better. Beethoven's 5th is decent, not the best but a massive improvement over THIS abomination, and the 6th one is watchable, but couldn't get into it based on that fact it's a reboot.

My ranking BEST to WORST of the six Beethoven films:

2 - 1 - 3 - 5 - 6 - 4

#1 and 2=amazing, wonderful movies. #3 and 6 were sort of tolerable, but unworthy of the first two, which are the only ones that really deserve to be thought of as 'the Beethoven films.' And #4 and 5...were just, the worst.

I just seen this 4th one I gave it a 4 out of 10 to,

It should be lower as it's direct-to-DVD.

The whole Prince & The Pauper thing did not work. And Beethoven getting abducted for ransom...man the writers lost their way.

The original Beethoven had an evil vet with two Harry and Marv clones.
The 2nd movie had a Cruella De Vil knock-off with a Harry Lyme sound-alike.
The 3rd movie had two Harry and Marv knock-offs after a DVD with a computer code on it, Home Alone 3-style.

The 4th movie also had a mansion family who was well-off compared to the Newtons.
