Hm well...i guess two can play this game...i would rather swallow razor blades than become a new zealander. Nobody even knew where nz was until they filmed lord of the rings there, and even now its still this weird little island, with a landscape that happened to be perfect for the movies, in the middle of some ocean. At least Australia is famous for other things and people are actually aware of where it is on the map.

why does a simple post have to turn into this great competition between Aus and NZ? I'm australian but i don't think our country is better than NZ, i actually think it's a very beautiful place with a great culture. But i dont think NZ should think they're better than us either, we're just as good. Aus may be a big land mass but both Aus and NZ are little countries compared with the rest of the world and i like to think that we're both the heart of the southern hemisphere, regardless of politics. We are both similar but also very different and should respect that but not be stupid and fight about it. Don't you think there's enough nations fighting over stupid things in the world? especially in this day and age.

It seems like some people base other people on where they live which i think is wrong. Do not judge people you do not know. And what's with all the hate??? shareI live in Australia and have heaps and heaps of NZ friends and we took them to our holiday house and the whole time they kept saying how much it looked like their home back in New Zealand!!! I've never been to new zealand but it looks like an Awesome place. I might be going there to visit friends this year. Plus I LOVE the nz accent its sooooo cool.

I agree with all these quotes. I'm a New Zealander and have no problem what so ever with Australian's. I don't know where all of this Australian's hating New Zealander's and New Zealander's hating Australian's came from. I have loads of Aussie friends living in Australia and they are the nicest people. NZ and Aus are very similar.
I also think Australian's and New Zealander's sound very different, not that hard to tell apart. share
