I love this sort of thing but this was lacking in almost every department. Comedy is supposed to be funny. I came on here to see other peoples thoughts on the show and was very surprised that most comments were praising it. Having said that, even those comments are few much like the 'gags' in this tepid offering which was way behind its time.
i really enjoyed it and it has some really memorable sketches.
The barber is one of my favourite - especially the sketch where he says that he was infested by wombles. Also Hugh, the east end thug - there's loads of quality bits.
its not massively uplifting comedy, but certainly not behind its time.
I enjoy The Armando Iannucci Shows immensly. I find the shows to be entertaining and funny especially the scene of the opera that takes place on beach resort, the line "show me your tits!" had me in stiches.
