Oscar cinémagique

Anybody seen the Oscar night last Sunday (29 Feb)? What a great opening movie that was, wasn't it? Starring Billy Crystal cameo travelling through all the nominated films. If only it hadn't been such a shameless imitation! Or should we look at it as a loving tribute? Let's hear your votes.

Sadly, I didn't get a chance to watch the Oscars! And I'm afraid I won't be able to watch the rerun either. It probably wasn't a tribute and it probably wasn't an imitation either, because the people who created probably have never seen Cinemagique!

Maybe you're right. Synchronicity then? Or just plain coincidence?

I think they just thought it was a cool idea. And it is a cool idea! Even though it has been done before, I'm sure if it's well made, it has to be funny. Anyway.

I really wish I could go this year too, to Disneyland Paris, but it's not possible, since I went last year and I don't live that close to France!

Oh, by the way, it's nice to hear from you soon.

Yeah, I'm sure it's quite a trip from Greece to Paris. But then again, think of all the French who have to travel to Greece for the Olympic Games! Do you live near Athens?

For me Paris is not that far, but in my case it's a question of money (or rather the lack of it) that prevents me from going to Dineyland again. Oh well, I'm sure it only will be more of a treat when I finally CAN go again. :)) That goes for you too!

As for my terribly late reply: I'm truly sorry, I've just been too damn busy. It just slipped my mind. :(

Well, here's a long delayed message from someone who has seen cinemagique not once, but twice.

Second time is always a charm, especially when the german people three rows in front nearly crap their pants when you actually get a soaking LOL!!

I immensely enjoyed the show as a whole, particularly the part where the actor playing the annoying audience member jumps onto the stage, and the film (which is silent, save for suspenseful music) stops, and the stars watch the man in annoyance, eventually making him disappear from the stage, and appear on the screen as the great Mr Martin Short.

In whole, a fantastique show, well worth going to disneyland for.

Ooh PS, to anyone heading to disnty studios paris, do check out the armageddon ride, oh and the stunt show, Moteurs Action!

have fun

Hey, I've just been to this show and I loved it, especialy the part where you see an epic Medieval with shots from Braveheart and the like when there's suddely a shot from the Killer Rabbit from Monthy Pyton and the Holy Grail, I nearly crapped my pants.
It's also quite well done with the dialoge, it's in english (Martin Short) and French by the other cast, so that it's followable for English and French people (atleast I guess, as I know French and English).
