I totally agree! I see you're from NZ as well, and I remember the good old days when Mashuranbo (which was called Shinzo over here, right?) was on. Man, I wish they would bring it back! It was the first anime I ever really liked very much (as in, enough for me to kind of obsess over! xD ) and it definitely deserved more credit. I mean, what did it have, one season? Come on! It had a really unusual, interesting plot, which is more than I can say for other anime which gets all the credit (-cough- Pokemon -cough-). I've often thought about writing to TV 2 and asking if they could put it back on air, but I don't really think one persons letter would make a difference, unfortunately. My fave characters were Sago (he was the water one, right? ^__^ ) and Mushra. They were both absolutely adorable!

WHY OH WHY DID TV3 CANCEL IT???????? WHYYYYYYYYY???????

reply

I strongly agree. It comes on still at like 3 in the morning on a kiddy channel. Surprising after all these years.

i totally agree with it being underrated. This, to me, is literally the greatest thing that ever came to television. Better than any Sitcom, Anime, Cartoon, or any other show. It's so, so rare to find a show this original. The characters were really different from other anime, the villains and monsters were so original, and the storyline was consistent throughout the series. Sheer Brilliance. Shame how it's not on DVD, though. ;(
