While it may be true that they weren't the best of friends, no pun intended, it's not exactly unheard of, a lot of girls around that age make friends and stay friends with those who aren't so worthy of the friendship.

After watching the marathon I thought that too. Dijonay or w/e was indeed the worst. She would leave Penny. Didn't even come to Penny's party and sent Myron over. LaCienga just didn't like Penny because of jealously reasons or something else. Zoey was just a follower of the two. Hell even Suga Mama said they was two faced thats saying something. She should have dropped them.

I agree. I think Emily was the best, but she sold her out a few times, too. And in that episode about Quoc, I was irritated too with Penny's ignorance. Sure, you don't know what you don"t know, but it's still one of my favorities. Anyway, I sometimes wish we did have arranged marriages. Maybe I'd have a man by now.

This was just one of many things that made The Proud Family an unwatchable show for me.
I can see why Penny puts up with Dijonay and Zoey; they at least try to be nice to her and be her friend (though they sell her out a lot too). But LaCienega is a total bitch. She insults Penny and her home upon meeting her, and takes pretty much every opportunity to continue insulting Penny after that. Why Penny wanted to hang out with her is way beyond me.
and her mom encouraged her to let her friends into the party after they ditched her eariler. her parents are awful as well
