Why are people stupid?

Shout! Factory re-released the first season (the one that aired on FoxKids) on DVD after 5 years or so since the ADV ones were released and out of print. But all the sudden, these fools are popping up saying that the boxed set is missing 3 episodes... because they didn't include the JAPANESE version of the JAPANESE production airing in the set.

People... this is MEDABOTS, not the Japanese version, "Medarot".

OF COURSE they're going to be presented how they were in the US. That's the whole point. Why would they have 3 episodes randomly thrown into the first season, regardless of how the US version was re-constructed, just to have them mimic the Japanese airing order, even though the US continuity has it taking place in the second season?

Are people really this dense?

No...people aren't stupid or dense. There are a lot of anime purists out there who like their anime uncut and unedited. So of course when the DVD's come out in a boxed set they're going to expect everything that was taken out to be put back in. That's the way the sets for Dragonball Z and Escaflowne and Gundam Wing and countless of other shows were released in boxed sets. Hell...Funimation even went back and REDUBBED Dragonball Z completely because they know how fans like their anime. Uncut and unedited with both the English AND Japanese tracks.

So of course the TRUE anime fans are going to be upset that this was not done.

So no it's not the fans that are stupid and dense. The production companies and distributors are the ones that is stupid and dense for not realizing this and catering to the fans needs. The fans after all are the ones spending their money on the product.
