The Ending?

What's with the ending...they just left Soo Yung up in the Eifle Tower and just start dancing...What the hell? I thought the movie was great but they didn't do much with the ending.

They didn't leave her, after they met on the middle of the tower, Lee sent her down in the elevator for the police

I was thinking the same thing... though they let her down with the elevator, they just came down and landed in this spring and act like everything is ok now, although 4 guys with machine guns might just come down from the tower to get them. I really don't get it.

The ending was so funny because it was so lazy.

The ending has got to be one of the worst edited and laziest endings in film history. The editor must of just wanted to do a good deed and end this suckfest as fast as possible to stop wasting everyones time.

I agree. The movis isn't bad and Chan/Tucker still have incredible chemistry together but that ending was horrible.

I bought the 2 disc deluxe set for this film. I enjoyed it greatly, laughed out loud and found myself surprised and delighted, but the ending was a complete "throw away" to me. I was disappointed to see that the cliche "saved by fabric" scheme had to be reworked into the final piece. On the additional extras the director clearly states how all the action in the film is believable and authentic. I agree it SHOULD be... but at the final plunge, it was so outlandish and cartoon-like, it felt totally out of character. Having Soo Yung's character left in the dark and having them dance off into the night was child-like and is exactly the type of sillyness that ruined the Bruce Willis vehicle "Hudson Hawk". Grown men who are action heroes just come off as nut cases when they behave like middle school children in the end. Sorry. Their heroics are mocked by this kind of conclusion... but that's just my take. This should have been a "10", but alas, it gets a "7" in the final minutes. By the way.. a more satisfying end was left on the cutting room floor, but is included in disc 2. It should have been left in. I won't spoil it for you.
