Rush Hour 4?

Future

Because of the films' collective box-office success, director Brett Ratner and writer Jeff Nathanson are currently considering the production of a fourth installment. In the DVD audio commentary for Rush Hour 3, Brett Ratner joked that the fourth Rush Hour film could be released in 2012. Ratner and Nathanson are exploring many concepts, including the use of the motion capture technique for the possible sequel and various different film projects with Chan and Tucker. It has been reported that the fourth film may be set in Moscow.[sup][5][/sup] Ratner stated in an interview in 2009 that he "has been in contact with a long list of stars including Danny DeVito and Jet Li for possible roles in a potential Rush Hour 4," but stressed "nothing's been okayed yet". In a short interview with Vulture in 2011, Ratner stated that the cost of making a follow-up to X-Men: The Last Stand would have cost more than the recent reboot and that, "that’s why another Rush Hour 4 probably won’t get made, either: It’d be too much to pay me, Chris [Tucker], and Jackie [Chan] to come back." [sup][6][/sup] In another interview in 2011, Tucker in an interview with the radio show The Breakfast Club stated in response to the question of a fourth by saying, "Rush Hour 4? Maybe you know, because that's a different kind of movie. You the action and the stuff like that, and they pay 20 million dollars too... I'm just joking! No, you know Jackie Chan, you know I love working with him and those type of movies you can redo them and it's different, we'll see but I don't know though. But we've got some new stuff coming, so we'll see what happens."

There were rumours of Van Damme doing Rush Hour 2 back in 2001 but he was at his lowest ebb but after his comeback in Expendables 2 and the re-launching of his career that would be awesome to see Jacky square off against Van Damme!!!

Bring on Rush Hour 4!!

They better hurry....Jackie Chan is not getting any younger, and Chris Tucker doesn't have his best days since Rush Hour 2...

Producer of Rush Hour trilogy has already spoke about another sequel and that's what he said:
"I'm trying to do it closer to how I did Rush Hour 1. More down to earth. More gritty. Introduce two new characters and make it real the way the first one was. I personally was not happy with the third one. I thought 1 and 2 were very good. I think 3 got out of hand a little bit. It's not a matter of just bringing them back to do another segment of that or a sequel to it by putting them in another city and having them bicker. I don't want that. I want something new. Maybe younger, maybe Chris is now married, maybe Jackie is married to Octavia Spencer, I don't know. Married to Chris's cousin, they live in Shanghai, Chris goes out to visit them. I don't know, I want something energetic."

"What was great about Rush Hour 1 and 2 mostly was the relationship of these two and it came out of nowhere. It was just very real. We didn't build it, we didn't write it. It just happened. I think the action will be there but it has to be molded to fit him today and not forced into stuff that he won't do."

About Brett Ratner returning as a director, he added:
"He's more than welcome to do it, but he's got to do it in the right way."

While there hasn't been much, there have been two interesting updates over the past year or so. Last month Chris Tucker mentioned in an interview that they were discussing doing another film and that they were currently "trying to get it going." Jackie Chan also reportedly met with Tucker about a year ago at least once to have discussions about a potential fourth film.

So it looks like both of them are game for Rush Hour 4. Reportedly they get along well and had a ton of fun making the movies, so why not? I think the biggest roadblock is the fact that they don't wanna rush it and make a fourth film without a good script, since nobody involved seemed particularly thrilled by how the third film turned out.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?
