IMDB MB closing...goodbye Phans! <3 <3 <3

Dear Phans,

Just thought I’d leave one of my last posts here on IMDB (before it’s dunzo on 20/2/17) as this was one of the boards I was most active around 2004-2005? I checked my posting history and could not find a single post I made here! I even remember posting here after years of being absent (around 2010) as I was surprised that the board was still active, like very!

I became active on IMDB as I love films and during that time like 2004 I just transferred to California (from Manila) and was sometimes missing my friends – and I found comfort here. It was also a time I was starting to watch stage musicals and have watched POTO 3 times on stage, waaay better than the film haha but it was because of this film I became interested in the stage version like I remember hearing the music of the trailer and became obsessed (like Christine hearing Phantom LOL). Now I am a huge Ramin Karimloo & Sierra fan, watch the 25th Anniversary sporadically. But in my closet, I still have my POTO DVD that I would watch when I need to like feel good. I even use an external DVD drive on my laptop since DVDs are almost extinct but idk, I love my POTO DVD and the special features etc.

Look where Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum & Patrick Wilson are now like I have seen committed fans in this board before they were big!

Not sure if anyone will be able to read this but it’s just frustrating that IMDB will remove the message boards. And just wanted to show appreciation to this board, before it vanishes - for sharing same love for POTO, all the links shared of photos, videos, lyrics.

It’s over now the music of the night…
