omg i have to express my thoughts on this movie

in 2003 i was 12 i think. i watched it, and it gave me this weeird feeling. it gave me the shivers. it was the day i first got introduced to kristin chenoweth and i thought she was wonderful. i thought this whole movie was brilliant. i memeorized every single song and i danced around the house singing it. i still remember it was grade 6.. ok i was 11.. yes i was 11!! ok anyways, i remember begging my mom to let me stay home from school because i was "sick". i stayed home, put on that movie, and i watched it all day long. i danced around my house repeating the steps and songs and everything. eventually my dvd wore out. im 15 now, and i havent seen it since i was 11 or 12. I MISS THAT MOVIE SO MUCH!! just though i would let yall know that haha

I'm sixteen, and I adore this movie as well. I loved the 1962 version, and I'm a fan of Kristin Chenoweth, so when I found out she was in this version I asked my parents to give it to me for my birthday. I watched it for the first time the other day. I just cannot watch this movie without smiling. I know some people don't like this version, but I think Disney have done a wonderful job. I think Cheno is a better Marian than Shirley Jones (although Shirley was wonderful). I think Jones was a little too stunningly beautiful to be a spinster librarian. Cheno is gorgeous, but it's believable that she may not have found a husband yet. And considering that Robert Preston was a near-impossible act to follow, Matthew Broderick did a wonderful job as Hill.

You should get another copy of the DVD. I wonder how long it will take for my DVD to wear out...=-)

I would love for you to rent the 1962 theatrical version and get back to us as to whether or not you still feel the same way about this version.
