So Sonya is the leader...expect the typical feminism on this film. Also forced diversity Mileena is not black.

reply

aw man Kano's eye-laser shot looked BAD

reply

Every character from the first movie that shows up here is worse

reply

lmao.
too bad no one can match the greatness of Christopher Lambert's Raiden.

reply

Looks better than expected. Of course, for all we know, they could had just put the gorier parts in the trailer.

reply

The lack of Johnny Cage is the only thing that concerns me.

reply

Johnny Cage is too much toxic masculinity for the modern effeminate Mortal Kombat.

looks amazing

Cant wait

reply

Really - they had to drop the F-BOMB in there right at the last second?!
Kid's aren't sheltered at all anymore. They don't even try.

"I AM SUB-ZERO"
I thought he was goofing with his voice there - sounded STOOPID.
I was waiting for him to break out of it and in a normal voice say 'NO SERIOUSLY, I CAN FREEZE SHIT"

reply

Looks like shit. Worse than the 1995 version.

Sonya being leader instead of Liu Kang? Instant warning right there.

Liu Kang being a side-character much like Ryu and Ken in the Street Fighter film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme? Another huge warning right there.

New character is given the spotlight as main character so the director can tell his own craptastic tale? Ehhhh.... could go either way.

Mileena race-swapped to be black? Instant pass.

Look, the visuals seem kind of cool and the whole Scorpion/Sub-Zero tale seems downright righteous and looks amazing. But the race-swap and Sonya being the leader for feminism's sake is an instant turn-off. This will be riddled with [current year] politics much like Mortal Kombat 11 the game.

Turning Jax into a BLM-supporting racist was beyond the pale, making Sheeva look like Charles Barkeley in cosplay was disgraceful, and throwing in all that LGBTBBQ nonsense was completely unnecessary. I absolutely fear for what they're going to do to Johnny Cage in the film and have no hope for this reboot whatsoever.
