The ending was so close to be great.. But...

When Tima falls to her death and says I am who? Is where the movie should have ended. It was such a powerful scene and it gave me goosebumps. I hated the following scenes. It felt like it was put in so kids wouldnt be sad after watching it. The same thing happened to Bambi when the mother died (a sad scene) and one second later birds are singing and all is well. I dont know if this was made for little 5 year old kids (lots of characters died throughout the movie so I hope its not) but that last part ruined the whole movie. Fiffi the robot was okay, everyone survived noone died except the bad guys and Tima. We dont need answers to everything in an ending. We dont need to know if Fiffi survived or the uncle or the protagonist etc.
Do you feel the same? Or is it just me who likes open endings? :p

If it just ended there I would be angry. Open endings really only work when there is enough resolution and the open ending allows you to have a good guess on either ending.

Ending it right there I feel doesn't lead me to come to any scenario.

I thought the ending was perfect, and it shows that no matter what happens, or how tragic it is life still has to go on. Finding her heart was a touching moment and the final shot of the radio speaking was so haunting.

It's meant to imply that Tima isn't "dead". The other robots are going to slowly but surely find all of her parts and fix her. That's why they are all chanting her name and Kenichi's smiling when they give him her heart. That's also why you see the Fifi robot who, as you remember, had had its head blown off earlier in the movie but was now fixed(implying they could fix Tima too). Then you hear Tima's voice over the radio.

I don't know...maybe I'm just overthinking it. lol

I have learned from experience... that a modicum of snuff can be most efficacious.

Your absolutely correct, after the credits there's a black and white photo of Kenchi and titi outside of a shop called Kenchi & Tima Robot repair and Tima can be seen standing in the window implying he was able to rebuild her.

Whoever is standing in the window is way too tall and looks older to be her. It's most likely a mannequin and the image is just creating for fun. I doubt it that it has anything to do with ending.
