weird candle thing.. Anyone?
When the president's assistant (I guess) is shot by the general during the coup, a candle appears on his head for a few seconds. Is this an animation mistake or some anime thing I didn't get?
shareIt's an anime in-joke. The president's assistant is Acetylene Lamp, and there's a running gag through his appearances in Osamu Tezuka animation and manga with the back of his head and candles (such as a candle appearing when he's surprised, as in Metropolis).
