Is it just me or does it look like Rocket was the inspiration for the look behind Elijah's character Kevin in Sin City? Great art but weak story.

Only if the character was in the Metroplis Manga (which obviously predates the Sin City comics/graphic novels) could that be since The Hard Goodbye (the first Sin City story) which featured Kevin came out in 1991, roughly ten years before the Anime movie was released.
