Characters from Astroboy

OK. There are a few characters that are the same as in Astroboy.

BUT.
Are they the exact same characters?
Like have the similar chracters been through everything in Astroboy and this?
Or is it just the same base character in a different situation?

Well Osamu Tezuka, the author of Astro Boy and the original Metropolis manga tended to use his characters as if they were actors/performers at times giving them the same name. It's called the Tezuka Star System.
