Whats the english dub like?

On the DVD it has the english and french audios. I chose the french audio coz I adore Juliette Binoche's french accent. So soulful. So does the eng dub do justice?

"The lipsynch [sic] is out"

Well, isn't that a given?

Film with English Dub is frustrating, but not necessarily for the sync issues... Juliette Binoche trying to speak "American" is abysmal. Her slide back and forth is incredibly distracting. I speak enough French for movie with subtitles to be irritating due to 'interpretive' translation rather than literal anyway. Movie - either way - is better than some, worse than others. More than a bit "formula" and all the french slapstick humor keeps it from being as tender as it might.

Actually, I'm not the least bit convinced that Juliette did her own voice-overs at all.

She DOES have a sultry, erotic voice, and, having just seen Chocolat (a few times; MY what a fun and sexy movie!) which preceded "Jet Lag" by a few years and her movie voice sounds NOTHING the real, undubbed voice on the former movie.

Still looking for a website that answers the question either way; as there's no statement whatsoever regarding voice-overs one way or another.

BAH!!
